Not really. It would take hours at even the fastest dial-up speed. Probably you should find a friend with a fast Internet connection and try the "Windows Offline Installation". This will download a 77MB file that you can copy to a flash drive or CD ROM and move to your computer. Execute the file on your computer to install java.

Choose Windows

Pick Platform: Windows (or whatever your platform is).

Pick Multi-language (which is your only choice).

Click the "I agree" box

Click Continue.
